Your support through the Greatest Needs Fund inspires us all — especially considering that 100 percent of every gift directly benefits patients, families and staff. It provides hope, healing and the highest-quality care possible!
Because of you, we were able to expand the first floor of HonorHealth Heart Care, welcoming patients, families and the public with a spacious new lobby and registration area.
The fund also provided a wide variety of resources in 2024, including:
- 15-passenger van to transport Lincoln Learning Center students
- 2 lymphedema treatment tables for cancer patients
- 1 surgical robotic navigation system for Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center
- BalanceTutor system for physical therapy patients
- A nurse for Desert Mission’s day care program serving seniors with mental or physical challenges
- Replaced equipment when updates were no longer supported by the vendor

“One of the reasons I made a gift to the Greatest Needs Fund, was because of an excellent nurse, who for many months, cared for my wound. Her name is Margaret (Peg) Downs.
Peg is a fantastic nurse who has been with HonorHealth for a long time. It’s obvious that her co-workers all like and admire her as well.
An “old” system required the nurses in the clinic to turn around with their backs to the patient when typing their notes into the computer. Peg and many of her colleagues agreed that it just did not provide enough interaction with the patient.
Peg suggested the idea to improve the process by adding new computer arms, and I was happy to help make that happen.”

- Accessing electronic health records at the point of care for fast response and quick documentation updates.
- Sharing critical data across the care team through a community workstation with simplified access to patient information.
- Streamlining patient registration at the bedside to reduce duplicate data entry and promote higher accuracy.
- Increasing patient engagement by sharing visual test results, diagnostics and other information during interactions.
- Streamlining workflows like documentation, prescriptions or procedure orders for higher efficiency and fewer errors.
